Wayne Nutt is an engineer. He finished with a degree in engineering and worked the majority of his profession in North Carolina without ever requiring a license to in fact work as an engineer. Now, the North Carolina Board of Inspectors for Engineers and Property surveyors is informing Wayne that speaking openly about engineering without a state license might lead to criminal charges. Today, Wayne coordinated with the Institute for Justice (IJ) to submit a federal claim to safeguard his First Change right to speak from his proficiency and experience.
