Jurisdictions throughout the nation are coming to grips with establishing extensive, cross-sector, community-based crisis action systems that attend to the requirements of people associated with the criminal justice system who have psychological health and/or compound utilize conditions and supply early intervention and deflection chances far from the justice system. Introduced in 2017, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) offer a collaborated, detailed, 24/ 7 behavioral healthcare design at the state and regional level typically including crucial criminal justice collaborations.
This virtual conversation (1) supplies an introduction of the CCBHC design, (2) highlights examples of CCBHCs partnering with criminal justice entities in their neighborhoods, (3) goes over methods to develop cooperations in between behavioral health and criminal justice entities, and (4) highlights methods to begin and sustain a CCBHC program.
