A panel conversation on “Capital Penalty and the Wider Crook Justice System” became part of The Supreme Court and Capital Penalty conference, held at Harvard Law School on Nov.18 Sponsored by the Bad Guy Justice Policy Program (CJPP), the multi-panel conference checked out styles in Professors Carol Steiker and Jordan Steiker’s book, “Courting Death: The Supreme Court and Capital Penalty,” (Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, just recently launched). Panelists consisted of Brandon Garrett, teacher University of Virginia School of Law; Bernard Harcourt, teacher of law at Columbia; and Kathryn Kase, executive director of Texas Protector Service. Larry Schwartztol, executive director of HLS’s Lawbreaker Justice Policy Program, moderated.
