Corrections and the Criminal Justice System is created to help students understand corrections in relation to the whole criminal justice system. This text starts with a summary of the field of criminal justice and covers the parts of the criminal justice system that an offender must pass through prior to his/her corrections experience (police, courts, and sentencing). The second part of the text shows trainees how corrections is interconnected and associated with the other elements of the criminal justice system.
