There’s never been a more critical and necessary time to study and work in the criminal justice system.

The mission of Juniata College’s program of emphasis (POE) in Criminal Justice is to educate students about the complexities and theoretical underpinnings of the U.S. criminal justice system in order to understand and analyze it in practice.

Gain real-world experience through a variety of opportunities:
– Internships
– Student Research
– Mock Trial Team
– Inside-Out Program, where students take courses inside prison walls alongside incarcerated classmates

Grounded in the liberal arts, the focus will be on contextualizing critical analysis of the system, based on core U.S. values of justice and equality. Students will hone their analytic and problem-solving skills such that they can explore justice in its many dimensions, preparing them for careers in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors as well as post-graduate study.

Juniata College. Think about who you are.
