Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) has required that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg response for a “ongoing amplification of harmful misinformation” about COVID-19 and vaccines on his social networks platforms.
Warner requested an explanation of the internal policies and procedures for eliminating false information from Facebook and Facebook-owned Instagram, in addition to a dedication to provide “free marketing for state and regional public health authorities working to combat health false information,” in a letter sent to Zuckerberg on Friday.
