Nov. 18, 2020: Discussions for an Engaged San Diego– The Rhetoric and Application of AI in Policing & Lawbreaker Justice
From facial acknowledgment innovations to algorithmic sentencing standards to “predictive analytics,” courts and police all over the world are investing large amounts releasing advanced– and nontransparent– artificial intelligence and expert system tools with little training, openness or oversight. Beyond the real systems, courts and law enforcement release the rhetoric of information science to validate criminal detention and authorities actions.
