What happened previously on “Parker & Lane”: Lily Parker, a police detective, is given her first case but removed shortly after due to political influence. Parker is threatened by Logan McDurmont who ends up dead the next day. Parker is assigned this case and is joined by Victor Lane, McDurmont’s laywer. During their investigation, they stumble on another victim, Theo Madsen, another of Lane’s clients. The chapter ends with Parker being forced to team up with Lane for the unforeseen future.
