This book is worried to shed more light on the nature of public views on criminal justice, paying specific attention to popular opinion towards particular kinds of wrongdoers, such as sex offenders and psychologically disordered transgressors. In doing so it challenges many withstanding presumptions relating to individuals’s views on justice, and faces the misconceptions that infect our understanding of what individuals think about the criminal justice system.
